Meet Jessica
Jessica Lynn Karr is a native of Jefferson Parish and a graduate of Archbishop Blenk High School, the University of New Orleans, and Loyola University College of Law. Jessica has been a resident of the Northshore for over 15 years. Upon graduating from law school, Jessica honed her litigation skills for several years in a small civil litigation firm and title company in downtown Covington. Her work there initially focused on property disputes, real estate transactions, successions, and estate planning. Over time, her practice expanded into family law, with an emphasis on adoption, divorce, and custody disputes. In 2014, Jessica was voted the Northshore’s Best Attorney by the readers of Sophisticated Woman magazine.
Jessica is also very dedicated to her community. She currently volunteers with the Southeast Louisiana Legal Services Northshore Pro Bono Project. For ten years, she was a member of the Board of Directors for the Safe Harbor Domestic Violence Program serving as the Board President from 2018 – 2022. As an original member of the East St. Tammany Habitat for Humanity "Rosie" Program, she participated in the annual homebuilding and fundraising event from 2016 – 2023.
Jessica has been admitted to practice in all Louisiana state courts since April of 2008.
